my local store that is. Lots of pc games that I want will coming soon so I thought I would pop in and see what kind of store dates that had. Of course this store once had an entire wall dedicated to pc gaming and even sold video cards. Now the pc section is a small tv size rack and I have more games on my shelf than they do on this rack. They told me that console games sell 200 to 1 pc game therefore they will not be stocking pc games and the only way to get them is to preorder. I was wtf is this world coming too!? So i went to best buy and they told me they are only going to carry the hottest sellers, unfortunate for me considering there are alot of non aaa games that I like to play so wtf now..........I know online but still......

If I own the Origin version of Sims 4, can I buy the Gamestop version of this expansion and will it work on Origin with my existing copy of Sims 4? I have a Gamestop gift card. Thank you.

From past experience using Origin and also purchasing Sims games from Gamestop and other stores, and also knowing of others who've bought games off Origin and done the same. I'd say it's highly likely you Would be able to buy the expansion pack from another store / online and use it with your existing Original basegame from the the Origin store!
I'd check with the employees instore / customer care service if you are still uncertain. But I'm pretty sure it would be compatible!
* You might just run into a (rare) problem of regional compatibilty. Which is very easily fixed by the way! This is only due to Digital online purchases. Versus physical copies being sold in different regions throughout the world. A simple command prompt And edit of the 'Regedit' registry of the game is a viable workaround. But if you're a US based citizen, it's very likely a possibility of full compatible crossover between the Digital and Physical copies! As Origin and Gamestop are well known and frequently used there. So it's a given that they have Compatibility issues in mind for their customers

Certainly with Sims 3 I had a combination of shop bought and downloaded installs. I don't see why this would change in any way, it's just a case of registering the game on origin with an authentic code.

I had bought a physical copy of Sims 3, and pre-ordered Sims 3, Island Paradise from Origin. They had worked well for me when I had combined the two of them together. So you shouldn't have any problems with being able to combine a store bought expansion pack with a digital version of Sims 4.
I have a question. Origin store won't verify any of my credit cards to purchase Get Together. Even though there is money on those cards. I wanted to purchase the Get Together Digital copy from Gamestop. Now once it's purchased can it be downloaded on another laptop? Or that only applies if you purchase the games through Origin?

Hello @CupidMadeMeDoIt .
After you have logged into origin, clicked the origin label on the top of the screen, then clicked the 'redeem product code' in the drop down box and typed in the EP product code, the EP will be linked to your account. You are then able to download the sims 4 game and the EP on any computer that you own. You need to log in though using the same origin account that you used when first registering the sims 4 game. You don't need to have bought the games through origin. You can buy them from other stores, and type in/redeem the product code.

Hi I know this question has been asked a million times, but I want to know if I have a Sim 4 base game disc and I want to buy a Sims 4 Cats and Dogs from Origin, will I be able to use the expansion pack on other computers and if yes how will that work? For example, if I get a new laptop or want to install it on my Husbands Laptop?

You can install the base game and expansion packs on other computers.
Your sims 4 game is linked to your origin account. If you get a new computer, dowload and install Origin onto it. Then log into origin on your new computer using the same account that you used to register the game and packs on the old computer , then click on the Games Library section, click on the sims 4 picture, then download/install the base game there. Then click the extra content button that is half way down the page. That will take you to a screen that shows you what game packs, stuff packs and eps you own. You can then download/install them there.
Make a copy of your sims 4 folder on your old computer that is in Documents > Electronic Arts > ( then The Sims 4 folder is there ) and place it on an external drive.
Then after installing the sims 4 game onto the new computer, play it once to generate a new sims 4 folder.
In your sims 4 folder are your saves folder ( contains your save games) and the tray folder ( which contains your lots and households that you have uploaded to your library or have downloaded from the community gallery ) Replace the saves, tray, mods, custom music and screenshots folders that are in the new sims 4 folder with the same folders that are in the sims 4 folder on your external drive. You will then have your old save games and creations etc on your new computer.

I was thinking about buying mw2 or cod4 for pc from gamestops site, but was wondering if i can play with my friends on steam with it even though its a gamestop download and not a steam version. Jun 11, 2018 - If I purchase the digital version of this, do I get a steam key or a Rockstar Key.
