Jan Krohn, a German, has been long time known for his site heidoc.net. The site offered direct download links to Microsoft’s ISO install images of Windows and Office. But since the servers from digital river has been shut down a while ago, the Links are no longer valued.
Jan lives now in Cambodia and translated his site heidoc.net to English. In mid May 2016 Jan introduced the first version of his Windows ISO downloader tool. Since June 2016, version 2.0 of this tool is freely available. The tool can download ISO files with install images of Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 as well as Setup ISO images of Office 2007 and 2010 from Microsoft’s Servers.
The user interface of this tool is pretty simple: Just select the version of the required download. Then the tool shows the required steps, to download the ISO image from Microsoft’s TechBench program (you have to select the required edition, language and 32/64 bit). The tool is offered free of charge at heidoc.net. The .exe file doesn’t need to be installed. The program is 300 kB in size and requires .NET Framework 4.6.1 and a Windows machine with Internet Explorer 11.
